MODEL BOAT
PLANS & MANUAL BASED ON THE
SELWAY FISHER RANGE OF YACHT & BOAT DESIGNS |
I
have often had requests from model boat makers who have visited the
Selway Fisher site for plans specifically aimed at the model maker and
based on full-size Selway Fisher designs. Most of these requests have
been for steam and motor launches and I have sometimes sold partial or
cut down sets of the full-size boat plans to the model maker. This is
far from ideal and so, coupled with the sheer fun I have had over the
years in making both static and working model boats, I have drawn up a series of plans specifically for model making.

To
go with the model boat plans, I have written my eighth manual (this one called
Model Boat Building in Wood) which describes some of the various model
boat making methods in wood and which gives the details and
drawings to make a range of models including a Balsa Power 225
and 4m Mini Yacht (both for radio control), a beautiful bread
butter half model of the Swallow Tancook Whaler that will grace
any wall and a stitch tape (tack and tape) model of the
Christine canoe.
